Fabrizio Romano reveals Spurs to hold further talks today over midfielder’s exit

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur want Paris Saint-Germain to cover the entirety of Tanguy Ndombele’s wages to allow the midfielder to leave on loan.

Ndombele does not appear to have a future under Antonio Conte at Spurs after the Italian reportedly told the midfielder to train on his own away at Hotspur Way (Football.London).

Calcio Mercato reported earlier this week that the Tottenham man is attracting interest from Juventus, AS Roma and Napoli.

It then emerged yesterday that PSG had opened talks with Spurs over a loan deal for Ndombele, with Mauricio Pochettino still said to be a fan of the midfielder, having been originally in charge of the Premier League club when they signed him from Lyon (The Athletic).

Romano has now taken to social media to provide an update on PSG’s pursuit of Ndombele, revealing that the Ligue 1 giants are expected to resume talks with the north London club over the ‘next hours’.

The journalist stated that the Lilywhites want the Parisians to cover 100 percent of the midfielder’s salary during the loan spell.

In addition, Romano claimed that Ndombele is keen on the move to Parc des Princes and that an option to make the move permanent could be included in the loan deal.

Spurs Web Opinion

It seems pretty clear that Ndombele does not have a future under Conte. So, it will be in Tottenham’s best interest if the loan deal included an option to buy.

Ndombele does not seem to be a particularly driven footballer. So, he might need the extra motivation to perform well at PSG to convince the Ligue 1 giants take up the option to sign him permanently in the summer.
