Fabrizio Romano reveals the feeling inside Spurs about January signing

Fabrizio Romano has said that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘more than happy’ with their decision to sign Dejan Kulusevski and view the Swede as an important part of their long-term project.

Kulusevski’s arrival in January from Juventus was not viewed as one of the most exciting captures of the transfer window, partly due to the 21-year-old’s struggles at Juventus, particularly under Massimiliano Allegri this season.

However, the winger has shown in less than two months since his arrival at Spurs just why he was so highly thought of during his days at Atalanta and Parma (on loan).

Kulusevski has cemented his place in Tottenham’s starting eleven alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min and has already displayed his killer instinct in the final third.

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Spurs insiders are pleased with how the January signing has settled into life in North London.

The journalist also clarified that Tottenham have an option to buy Kulusevski permanently for €35m (£29.4m) this summer and that the option would become mandatory should the club qualify for the Champions League or if the winger makes 15 starts before the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Spurs will take up the option to buy Kulusevski this summer. The most exciting part about the Swede is the fact that he is only 21 and still has plenty of room to grow.

I would not be surprised if he evolves into a top-class centre-forward in a few years as he certainly possesses the ability to play with his back to goal and seems to have a natural goal scorer’s instinct.
