Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, will not leave the San Siro this month.
Perisic’s current contract with Inter runs out at the end of the season and it was reported at the start of December that Tottenham had opened talks with the winger (Sport1).
Inter Live then claimed that Spurs were facing competition from Wolfsburg for the 32-year-old’s signature, with the player alleged to be keen on reuniting with Antonio Conte in North London.
TuttoMercatoWeb revealed a couple of weeks ago that there was a lot of distance between the Croat’s salary demands and what Inter were willing to pay.
However, Romano has now revealed that Inter will not cash in on Perisic this month despite his contract situation.
The journalist added that several clubs have expressed interest in the experienced wide man and suggested that he could leave on a free transfer in the summer.
There’s no chance for Ivan Perisic to leave Inter in January despite Chelsea links. No way for Perisic and Kurzawa, no talks ongoing. 🔵 #CFC
Many top clubs are interested in Perisic as free agent for June – Inter are still working to extend his contract. Nothing done yet.

Conte did speak last week about the value that signing experienced players can have on helping change the squad’s mentality. That suggests that he would be open to bringing in players like Perisic.
While the Croat might not be an automatic starter, he could be a useful squad player and cover for multiple positions. For his age, Perisic is also extremely fit and would be able to cope with the demands of the Italian’s style of play.
