Fabrizio Romano reveals update on Harry Kane’s future

Fabrizio Romano has revealed on the Que Golazo Podcast that Manchester City are ready to step up their pursuit of Harry Kane.

If reports are to be believed, City are expected to be Kane’s most likely destination if the striker does leave Spurs this summer.

The England captain perhaps hinted at a potential desire to join Pep Guardiola’s side, admitting in an interview with Gary Neville last month that he would love to play alongside Kevin De Bruyne.

While Tottenham are not yet consigned to losing Kane this summer, some sources indicate that the North Londoners have made a contingency plan, which includes drafting a list of City players that they would be willing to accept in a part-exchange deal for the 27-year-old.

Romano has now revealed that City plan to push ahead with their pursuit of the England captain after their defeat in the Champions League final.

However, the journalist also added that Spurs’ position regarding their talisman has not changed.
