In an interview on Chris Cowlin’s Youtube channel, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano answered several questions in relation to Tottenham’s managerial pursuit.
The journalist revealed the latest developments in club’s pursuit of Mauricio Pochettino and also discussed whether Antonio Conte remains a target.
Alasdair Gold revealed on Tuesday that Pochettino had expressed a desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain and that the Argentine wanted to complete his unfinished business at Spurs.
However, Romano has now said that the ball is in Pochettino’s court and that the former Spurs boss would have to publicly reveal his desire to leave PSG if he is to complete a return to North London.
Romano also told Cowlin that Conte was never a target for Real Madrid and remains a potential option for Tottenham. He asserted that the Italian is ready to jump straight back into management after his separation from Inter Milan.
Romano followed up this afternoon by revealing that Conte is currently in discussions with Spurs where he is having conversations focused on the project in hand along with the financial aspects on his contract.

Spurs Web Opinion
Based on all the reports over the last few days, it sounds like Levy is trying his hardest to get a deal for Pochettino sorted before he moves on to the other candidates. That suggests that the Spurs chairman believes that there is still a chance of bringing the Argentine back.
