Fabrizio Romano reveals what Son’s agent change means for potential Spurs contract

It was revealed earlier today that Heung-min Son had signed with a new talent agency in the form of CAA, the same company in charge of commercial deals for both Jose Mourinho and Dele Alli.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed on his Here We Go podcast that this change is good news for Spurs with regards to Son’s potential new contract at the club.

He claimed that the agents already have a good relationship with the Tottenham board, hinting that it will act in the club’s favour.

Romano said: “Heung Min Son has new agents now, they have a great relationship with Tottenham board. This is good news for Tottenham [for his contract renewal].”

This comes after Heung-min Son has been strongly linked to a new North London contract, something that Jose Mourinho even addressed this month (Standard).

It is said that Spurs have offered their South Korean star a new £200,000 per week deal, plus performance-related bonuses, to commit to the club long-term (Football Insider).

It has also been reported that talks are progressing well behind the scenes and a new deal is expected to be completed before the end of 2020 (Football Insider).
