Fabrizio Romano reveals when Cristian Romero will fly to England for Spurs move

After what feels like an eternity, Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Cristian Romero is set to fly to England to join Tottenham Hotspur in the next 48 hours.

The same journalist revealed earlier today that Spurs had a bid accepted for the Argentine centre-back worth around €50m with €5m in add-ons.

Romano has now claimed that Romero will make his trip to the UK once the final paperwork is signed, while also labelling it a ‘done deal’.

He also added that Barcelona were never in the race because Romero always wanted a Tottenham move. He also rubbished any idea of Spurs moving for Caleta-Car.

Romero could become Spurs’ third senior signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil from Atalanta and Sevilla respectively.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Finally, the deal seems to be done! Although, knowing Spurs, I won’t be confident until I see him holding a Lilywhite shirt. I believe that Paratici wants Romero to be Tottenham’s Dias or Van Dijk in terms of transforming the defence. Only time will tell if he can.
