Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have already begun planning for a new loan move for Alejo Veliz this summer, with the Premier League side wanting the striker to get competitive minutes under his belt.
Veliz would have gone to Sevilla in January with hopes of impressing Ange Postecoglou and co but he is yet to make a single start for the club, having been reduced to just 42 minutes across three substitute appearances (Transfermarkt).
The striker’s situation was addressed by Quique Sanchez Flores himself earlier this month, with the Sevilla boss indicating at the time that the on-loan Tottenham man had not found his rhythm in training after returning from injury (Mucho Deporte).
Last week, AS suggested that Spurs are not happy with the 20-year-old’s situation at Seville as they only decided to green-light the loan move since they were told the centre-forward would be getting game time.

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Veliz will be leaving the Andalusian club for sure at the end of the season, with there being no prospects of the loan being extended.
He revealed that the Lilywhties are already making plans for a new loan move for the striker when the transfer window opens in the summer.
Romano adds that Ange Postecoglou’s men want Veliz to get regular starts at his next club and will hold discussions with various suitors about the same over the coming months.

Since the arrival of Johan Lange, Spurs have been quite successful in finding the right loan moves for their young players so that they can get regular game time. I would not be surprised if Tottenham decide to send Veliz to a Championship side next season.
