Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur want to swoop for Ajax starlet Stanis Idumbo Muzambo in the January transfer window.
Tottenham have seemingly shifted their transfer policy since Antonio Conte was replaced by Ange Postecoglou, with the North London club now looking primarily at young, up-and-coming players rather than established performers.
Spurs swooped for the likes of Alejo Veliz and Ashley Phillips last summer, neither of whom are proven at the highest level, and it now looks like the North London club could repeat their trick with Muzambo.
Muzambo is ready to leave Ajax amid Spurs links
Muzambo came through the ranks of the Gent Academy before joining Ajax a couple of years ago.
While the 18-year-old attacking midfielder is yet to break into the Eredivisie side’s first-team, he has been one of the standout performers for their youth side this season.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Tottenham are one of six clubs who have expressed an interest in signing Muzambo in January.
The journalist added that Belgium Under-19 International has already informed Ajax that he wants to leave the Johan Cruyff Arena.
🇧🇪 Belgian 2005 born midfielder Stanis Idumbo Muzambo has decided to leave Ajax. He’s free to sign with any club from January, valid from next season.

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Tottenham are now a much more attractive destination for younger prospects than they were until last year, given Postecoglou’s track record of working with and bringing the best out of budding starlets.
