Fabrizio Romano says two new clubs have entered race for Spurs-linked striker

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gambian starlet Adama Bojang, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, is now attracting interest from Major League Soccer and Ligue 1.

Bojang has been prolific for his club Steve Biko FC this season and the striker turned a lot of heads with his showing at the South Africa Under-20 Nations Cup, which was held earlier this year.

It was The Mail that first reported at the start of April that the 19-year-old’s displays in the competition have alerted several European clubs, including Spurs.

The same publication suggested last month that Chelsea are set to step up their interest in the centre-forward after being impressed by his showing at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.

The report revealed that apart from Spurs and Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Red Bull Salzburg also have their eye on Bojang.

Spurs would have competition for Adama Bojang

Romano has now taken to social media to state that New York FC, who are owned by the City Group, and Lens, have now also entered the race for the teenager’s signature.

The journalist also revealed that Bojang is represented by former England international Cherno Samba, who spotted the likes of Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny and Abdul Rahman Baba.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Bojang is clearly one of the most sought-after young talents in African football.

I would expect his advisors to be telling him to move to somewhere like Ligue 1 rather than making the jump straight to the Premier League so that he has the best chance of playing regularly over the next few years.
