‘Fake news’ – Fabrizio Romano reveals what he has heard from agent of Spurs target

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the agent of rumoured Tottenham target, Tosin Adarabiyo, has denied suggestions that the centre-back has made up his mind to leave Fulham on a free transfer next summer.

It looks unlikely that Tottenham are going to bring another centre-back through the door during the current transfer window after the arrival of Radu Dragusin.

However, Adarabioyo could be an option for the Lilywhites next summer, with the 26-year-old having just six months left on his contract at Craven Cottage.

Reports over the last few weeks have continued to insist that Ange Postecoglou’s men are continuing to keep an eye on the 26-year-old’s situation (The Athletic).

A couple of days ago, Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre that AC Milan are ready to begin work on landing Adarabioyo on a free transfer next summer.

Di Marzio pointed out that the centre-back can sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside England, now that he is into the final six months of his deal.

Tosin Adarabioyo is yet to make a decision on his future

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Adarabioyo’s agent has dismissed suggestions that the player has communicated his desire to leave Fulham as ‘fake news’.

The journalist explains that while there continues to be a lot of interest in the English defender, the player has not yet made a decision on whether to pen a new contract with Marco Silva’s men.

Tottenham will likely revisit their interest in Adarabioyo next summer if he is available on a free transfer but the centre-back might not be too keen on the idea of moving to the North London side, with Postecoglou now having three top central defenders at his disposal.
