After his drink driving arrest earlier in the week, Hugo Lloris has retained his captaincy for the match against Manchester United tonight.
It was said that Pochettino wanted to talk to his captain in person before he made a decision over the armband, obviously talks went well as the Frenchman still wears it tonight.
The response to the Tottenham gaffer’s decision has been extremely mixed on Twitter, with many arguing that the World Cup winner should have been more heavily punished.
Fan reaction below:
Hugo Lloris named Tottenham's captain after drink-driving.
That's not the bottle you were looking for, Spurs.

Strong line up. Poch has backed Lloris by starting him & keeping him as captain. Also great to see Alderweireld, Dembele & Rose back in the team. Need a massive performance from everyone tonight. #COYS https://t.co/dEvZwFZXZg
