Son Heung-min is pleased about Ange Postecoglou’s appointment, admitting that he is excited about the kind of football that Tottenham will play under the Australian during the upcoming season.
Son was perhaps one of the biggest victims of Antonio Conte’s cautious approach, with the South Korean having to do plenty of defensive work, which seemingly rendered him less effective in the final third.
The 30-year-old failed to live up to the high standards he has set for himself, ending the 2022-23 campaign with just 10 Premier League goals (Transfermakrt).
He will be hoping to get back to his best under Postecoglou, whose sides are known for their adventurous approach and creating plenty of chances.
The forward has come up against the 57-year-old in the past, scoring against his Australia side in the final of the 2015 Asia Cup, with the Socceroos eventually emerging winners in extra-time.

Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham’s attacking players, including Son, would have been desperate for Spurs to appoint an attacking coach who takes off the handbrakes after playing under Mourinho, Nuno and Conte over the last few years.
So, it is understandable why the South Korean is delighted by the appointment. Hopefully, the attacking intent that Postecoglou shows can also convince Kane to stick around to see where the project heads.
