Lucas Bergvall has said that it feels ‘fantastic’ to officially be a Tottenham Hotspur player and admitted that he is looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead of him in the Premier League.
Bergvall arrives at Tottenham with a huge reputation, having had a meteoric rise over the last six months since his switch to Djurgarden.
The midfielder, who turned 18 on Friday, has impressed one and all with his composure and maturity in the middle of the park and has already been capped for the Swedish national side.
Spurs had to fight tooth and nail to secure his signature on transfer deadline day, with reports indicating that the Lilywhites stole him from under Barcelona’s noses by offering him guarantees of a first-team spot (Matteo Moretto).

Lucas Bergvall is happy to be at Tottenham
The teenager has his work cut out to break into Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven, given the midfielders that the Australian has at his disposal but the youngster is seemingly looking forward to the challenge, revealing that he has had a nice welcome since arriving at Hotspur Way.
Bergvall said (via Fabrizio Romano): “It’s a fantastic feeling to sign for Tottenham and a dream to have the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I have received an incredibly warm reception from the club and feel really welcome.”

Bergvall is not likely to get too much game time over the next five months but the chance to train with top-class players at Hotspur Way and work under Postecoglou and his coaching staff will undoubtedly do wonders for the teenager’s development.
