‘Father and son’ – Sissoko sends message to Spurs duo on social media

Moussa Sissoko has sent messages to both Harry Kane and Harry Winks on social media after Watford’s 1-0 defeat to Spurs on Saturday.

Sissoko’s five-year spell at Tottenham came to an end in the summer as the Frenchman swapped North London for Watford, along with former Spurs teammate Danny Rose.

The midfielder has had a bright start to his career in Vicarage Road – an ever-present in the Hornets’ midfield this season and even being handed the captain’s armband.

Watford frustrated Antonio Conte’s men on Saturday as they defended deep and prevented the away side from fashioning too many clear cut chances.

Sissoko worked his socks off for Claudio Ranieri’s side and shielded the back four impressively but Spurs did find a winner in stoppage time as Davinson Sanchez headed in Son Heung-min’s free-kick from close range.

After the game, Sissoko posted a picture of himself in conversation with Winks on his Instagram story, along with the caption: “Father and son”.

The former Tottenham man also wrote about Kane: ‘Always nice to play against some friends’.

Spurs Web Opinion

Sissoko was a fantastic servant for Spurs over the years. While the Frenchman was limited in ability, he always left everything on the pitch. I am delighted to see him doing well at Watford and for his sake, I hope that the Hornets do stay up this season.
