‘Feels good’ – Christian Eriksen reacts to his debut for Inter Milan after Spurs move

Christian Eriksen has revealed his delight at making his home debut for Inter Milan after his move from Spurs this week.

The Danish international, whose contract with Tottenham was about to run out at the end of the season, had been linked with an exit since the summer.

The 27-year-old had struggled to replicate his usual standards for the best part of the last year and there has been a lot of discontent with the Danish international’s performances.

Spurs and Inter came to an agreement after weeks of difficult negotiations according to the Italian club’s CEO Beppe Marotta (Rai Sport via Tribal Football).

The midfielder came on as a second-half substitute in his debut for Antonio Conte’s side, as they emerged 2-1 winners over Fiorentina on Wednesday.

He put in a relatively tidy performance and after the game, he took to social media to describe his delight at playing at the San Siro as an Inter player for the first time:

It was clear that Eriksen needed a change and given the fact that he could have left on a free in the summer, I think the deal is a good one for all three parties. He will have more time on the ball in the Serie A and he will certainly enjoy that. He has given us some great memories over the years but perhaps things got stale for him at Tottenham.
