Fenerbahçe eyeing up Spurs’ £30m flop

Turkish side Fenerbahçe are eyeing up a possible loan move for Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko, according to The Sun.

Fenerbahçe have until 1 Septemeber to finalise any deals with their transfer window coming slightly later than the likes of La Liga.

Sissoko joined Spurs in 2016 for a whopping £30m from Newcastle United.

However, the French midfielder has never lived up to the hefty price tag in which Spurs paid for him in what seemed a last-minute panic buy.

It is reported Fenerbahçe are looking to sign the player on loan but hope to have the option to buy in the future.

For many Spurs fans this would be a perfect transfer, as Sissoko has certainly not become a fan favourite during his time at Spurs.

Sissoko remains under contract at Spurs until 2021, meaning a permanent deal for the midfielder may not come cheap for Fenerbahçe.

In his 59 Premier League appearances for Spurs, Sissoko has only managed to find the net on one occasion.

Coming almost one year ago in a 4-0 win away to Huddersfield Town the 29-year-old scored an injury-time tap in.

Spurs fans, would this be the best bit of business would have done this summer?
