Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente has played less than a bit part role since his arrival from Swansea, scoring just the one league goal in his time in North London.
However, could he be the one to set up a sensational January transfer for the Lilywhites?
Yesterday, Llorente messaged an old Juventus teammate Claudio Marchisio, after the latter was released from his contract at the Italian giants last week.
Marchisio is now an extremely sought after free agent, but with the transfer window currently shut for Premier League purchases, Spurs would have to wait until January.
Llorente’s Instagram message read: “Good luck my friend! It was great to play next to you, and I cheer for you and your new adventure.”
While he doesn’t seem to be tapping up his friend and former teammate, could Llorente be the key to getting Marchisio in a Lilywhite shirt?
