Fernando Llorente’s shocking stats against Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur clutched victory from the jaws of defeat yesterday evening in their London derby against Fulham.

After losing 1-0 to Man United last time out, it was vitally important to regain their winning ways against a team struggling in the Premier League.

Unfortunately, Spurs went 1-0 down in the first half when Fernando Llorente, the man brought in to replace Kane’s goals up front, bizarrely turned it into his own net from a corner.

Llorente’s head visibly dropped after this costly mistake and he never really regained his confidence throughout the 90 minutes.

The Spanish target man missed two or three clear cu opportunities to equalise, and eventually win the game, but squandered every one.

Luckily for the former World Cup winner, teammates Dele Alli and Harry Winks were able to turn the game around with their goals, saving Llorente’s blushes.

The striker’s stats were nowhere near where they needed to be if he is to successfully cover for Harry Kane, but fans must get behind him to do better next time out.

Llorente had:

40.9% pass accuracy

3 forward passes completed

2 attacking-third passes completed

0 passes inside penalty area

5 attempts at goal, with 0 goals

2 big chances missed

0 chances created

0 take-ons completed

0 ball recoveries

0 tackles attempted

1 own goal
