Journalist Nicolo Schira has reported that Tottenham are now in the final stages of agreeing a deal for Sporting Lisbon right-wing-back, Pedro Porro.
The defender will reportedly sign a contract in North London that runs until 2027, as Tottenham look to make their first signing of the January transfer window. However, if Schira is correct, it could be a straight race between Porro and Danjuma to earn that title (SkySports).
The Evening Standard reported earlier today that Tottenham had a bid of around £32m turned down by Sporting, and even tried to include Davinson Sanchez in a deal.
However, the report went on to add that Spurs and Sporting had scheduled further talks for Wednesday, while Chelsea were keeping an eye on the situation too.
This came after the print editions of both A Bola and O Jogo (23/01/23 as relayed by Sport Witness) reported that Tottenham were expected to return with another bid after seeing their last turned down by Sporting.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Fingers crossed that some more mainstream sources start reporting something similar overnight and in the morning. Getting Danjuma and Porro through the door would represent good January business for Tottenham.
