Fiorentina president reveals how much it would take to sign Vlahovic

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has insisted that it will take a bid of around €100m (£85m) for him to even consider selling rumoured Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Alasdair Gold, Vlahovic is Fabio Paratici’s number one striker target as things stand.

Spurs and Atletico Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the striker over recent weeks, with the Lilywhites even alleged to have made an offer of €60m (£51m) for the 21-year-old last week.

It then emerged earlier today that Manchester City had also joined Tottenham and Atletico in the race for Vlahovic.

Rai journalist Sara Meini has even claimed that the Serbian international is edging closer to a move to City after Fiorentina failed in their bid to extend the striker’s contract.

However, Commisso has now rubbished those rumours, insisting that Vlahovic will stay put at the Artemio Franchi Stadium unless the club receive a mammoth offer.

He said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I don’t know what’s gonna happen but I’m planning to keep Vlahovic this summer.

“I want him to stay. But if we receive a bid for €100m, I’ll think about it.”

Fiorentina will have little choice but to cash in on Vlahovic if he does not sign a new contract as he has only two years left to run on his current deal. However, the Serie A club will look to get a bidding war going between the interested clubs so that his price is jacked up.
