Fiorentina director Joe Barone has said the club have not received any offers for Dusan Vlahovic so far this month.
Tottenham are one of the clubs credited with an interest in Vlahovic, who has had an outstanding 2021 for Fiorentina, equaling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the most goals in the Serie A in a calendar year.
According to multiple sources, Arsenal have emerged as the favourites to snap up the 21-year-old this month.
The Gunners are said to be ‘doing everything possible’ to bring the Serbian to the Emirates, with Mikel Arteta thought to have made the Viola star his number one priority in January.
It has even been claimed that Arsenal are not put off by the mammoth £150m it would cost to sign the 21-year-old, including the transfer fee, agent commission and wages.
However, Football.London have reported that Spurs remain in the race for Vlahvoic, with Fabio Paratici hoping to use the close relationship he has with the striker’s representatives to thrash out a summer deal for the Viola star.
Barone has now insisted that Fiorentina have not received any bids for Vlahovic but admitted the club remain open to offers this month.

When asked about Arsenal’s rumoured offer, he told SportMediaset (via Fabrizio Romano): “We’re open to considering all the proposals we’ll receive for Vlahovic – no bid is on the table right now.
“We’ve not received any official offer. Let’s see if some proposal will arrive.”

One does get the feeling that while Fiorentina are keen to cash in on Vlahvoic in January, the striker would prefer to wait until the summer to get a move he wants. I suspect his preference would be to join Juventus at the end of the season. I do not see Spurs being able to pull off the signing unless Kane leaves in the summer.
