‘First time in over two years’ – Journalist reveals rare Spurs event in December

Tottenham are set to play in the 3 pm slot on a Saturday for the first time in more than two years with the release of the festive fixture schedule, according to journalist Jonathan Veal

In what is the most anticipated period of the calendar, Tottenham now know their travel plans during December with the Premier League’s announcement of the next set of fixtures for broadcast.

However, there has been one quirk spotted in the list of matches, with the fact that Spurs will play in their first 3 pm game on a Saturday in over two years, with a short trip to Watford on New Years’ Day.

Spurs’ respective involvement in the Europa League and Europa Conference League recently has meant that the club typically finds its fixtures shifted to a Sunday in order to accommodate the schedule.
