‘First time we don’t have the hardest group’ – Some Spurs fans react to Champions League draw

Tottenham Hotspur now know exactly who they will face in the Champions League group stage this season, after the draw was conducted in Monaco this evening.

Spurs were drawn against Bayern Munich, Olympiacos, and Red Star Belgrade for this season’s pivotal group stage fixtures.

Pochettino’s men will play each of these three clubs both home and away in the coming months to find out who will progress to the knockouts, who will drop into the Europa League, and who will be eliminated from Europe altogether.

Tottenham had the group of death last season with Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSV, but fans will surely be feeling more confident this time around.

Pochettino will be hoping that he can follow in Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s footsteps by winning the competition the year after finishing second.
