Five potential ins and outs Spurs could make before the transfer window closes

Tottenham Hotspur have had yet another quiet transfer window this January after becoming the only club in Europe’s top 5 leagues to fail to make any additions to their squad last summer. However, with the deadline approaching, there are sure to be some great last minute deals that open up. Here are five transfers that Spurs could complete before midnight.

5) OUT: Vincent Janssen

It is well established by now that Janssen has no route back to the first team as both Pochettino, as well as the Dutch striker’s agent, have confirmed the same. Spurs are now said to be in negotiations with Schalke over a loan deal for the Dutch international till the end of the season. Allowing Janssen to leave would free up the squad space for the club to make more additions.

4) OUT ON LOAN: Kazaiah Sterling

Tottenham are reported to be interested in loaning out Kazaiah Sterling till the end of the season. The 20-year-old is highly rated at the club and there were even fans calling for Sterling to feature for the first team after Kane’s injury. However, it doesn’t appear as if Pochettino considers Sterling ready for first-team football just yet. There is no doubt that a loan move to a Championship club will do wonders for the 20-year-old’s development.

3) IN: Jarrod Bowen

Tottenham have been linked with Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen for the entirety of January. The attacker has scored 14 goals so far this term and taken the Championship by storm. While the 22-year-old is not an out and out striker he certainly carries a goal threat and could thus prove useful in the absence of Kane and Alli.

2) IN: Youri Tielemans

Tottenham were reported to be interested Youri Tielemans from AS Monaco. The highly-rated Belgian hasn’t had the best of times in the French League but his talent is certainly abundant for all to see. This move, however, looks unlikely at the moment as Leicester City are said to be close to securing a deal for the midfielder

1) IN: Jack Clarke

The 20-year-old winger has burst on to the scene this season at Leeds United and has been really impressive. Spurs were reported to be one of the clubs monitoring Clarke ahead of a making a bid but it has also been reported that Leeds are not keen on selling Clarke until they know for sure which league they will be playing in next year. Pochettino could certainly be the right man to help the 20-year-old fulfill his potential.
