Tottenham have reached an all-time low under Thomas Frank with a home defeat against struggling London rivals, West Ham.
Let’s take a look at five things we have learned from another game which has been nothing other than a huge disappointment.
The Tottenham fans are fed up and it is getting toxic
There is no sound more common at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than the boos of disgruntled supporters.
Once again, the Spurs players were booed off the pitch after both halves, and there was a fan-led protest ahead of the match. These are scenes which will continue to occur so long as Tottenham keep dropping such dreadful displays.
Pre-match statements from the hierarchy about the club’s ambitions are not going to change how the supporters feel. Their morale is something which can only be fixed by how the team play.
John Heitinga’s appointment means Thomas Frank is safe for now
Thomas Frank must take responsibility for yet another defeat against a team not far off the bottom of the Premier League table.
The Dane is living on borrowed time in North London, and yet he still seems to be secure in his role, especially with the arrival of John Heitinga as his new assistant – which seemed to be a Frank-led appointment.
With this new coaching arrangement, Spurs will hope that Frank can go on to succeed at the club, even if there have been no signs of this happening.

Ben Davies joins Tottenham’s increasing injury list
Ben Davies has already spent one spell on the sidelines due to an injury this season, and he will be out again after going down in the first half against West Ham.
The Welshman was only able to play 19 minutes before he was replaced by Djed Spence, making the anticipated arrival of Souza all the more important.
Archie Gray is also an injury concern as he was holding his knee before getting subbed off at the half time interval.
Spurs must follow through on Vinai Venkatesham’s bold claims
Vinai Venkatesham made some comments about Tottenham wanting more quality and experience in their squad, and these were featured in today’s matchday programme.
However, while Spurs are usually very good at talking about their transfer planning, they are less convincing when push comes to shove.
There needs to be more action from the club while the January transfer window remains open, ahead of a summer where even more changes to the Tottenham first-team squad will be required.
Yves Bissouma was Tottenham’s star midfielder
It looked like Yves Bissouma was finished at Tottenham Hotspur, but he made his first appearance under Frank against West Ham.
The 29-year-old bounced back from his red card at AFCON just one week ago and actually played quite well off the bench.
Perhaps Bissouma still has a role to play at Spurs with all the current injuries in the midfield area, especially if he is performing surprisingly well.
Although it is a bit worrying that a player to have been completely cast out is back in contention and has already put in a better shift than some of his teammates have managed in months.
