Fixture change hands Spurs fans a nightmare away commute for 12:30 kick-off

Tottenham Hotspur fans will need to amend their calendars for the month of April, as the North London side have just had three fixtures—the games against West Ham, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle—rearranged.

With no European football to deal with this season, Spurs have had a pretty light fixture list for the campaign, helped in no small part by premature exits from both of the domestic cup competitions, too.

Ange Postecoglou knows exactly what is needed from his Spurs team for the remainder of the season, as do the players. The Lilywhites have 13 Premier League games to go, and will need to take as many points as possible from those games in order to finish in the top four this term.

While they may know what is needed, the when is proving to be a little more tricky, as domestic fixtures are being rearranged to accommodate for cup games and television broadcasts.

Fixture changes aplenty for Spurs

The club has today announced, as per Premier League adjustments, three fixtures throughout April have been moved.

The game against West Ham remains on April 2nd, but has now moved to an 8:15 pm kick-off time as it will be aired on TNT Sports that night.

Next up is the fixture against Nottingham Forest, which has now changed dates entirely, to Monday April 8th, with an 8:00pm kick-off. The match will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Finally, Spurs fans will be dreading a mammoth journey up to Newcastle even more now, as the game on April 13th has moved to an earlier kick-off time of 12:30 pm. This is to allow for the game to be broadcast on TNT Sports.

That journey from London to Newcastle on a Saturday morning is simply ridiculous for fans to make. It’s almost impossible to get a train all that way and be there on time for the lunchtime kick-off, which is really not fair for Spurs, who will need all the support they can get up at St. James’ Park.
