Football journalist claims Spurs left-back may miss pre-season tour amidst exit rumours

Tottenham Hotspur may be rather low on full-backs by the time the pre-season tour rolls around this year, as exit rumours dominate the headlines.

Football London claim that Kieran Trippier may complete his medical at Atletico Madrid as early as today in a deal that could be worth up to £25m.

This comes after the England full-back had a troublesome season with poor form, injuries, and fatigue.

However, Football London journalist, Alasdair Gold, has now claimed that there are unconfirmed reports that Danny Rose will be left out of the pre-season tour squad to Asia.

This comes after the left-back was named on a Daily Mail list of players Spurs are willing to sell this summer. Rose has also been linked with a move away to PSG.

With Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth yet to return to training after their African Cup of Nations and Copa America exploits, this would leave just Ben Davies and Kyle Walker-Peters as the only senior full-backs in the squad.
