Football journalist claims Spurs may turn to Napoli right-back to replace Trippier

Tottenham Hotspur look as if they may be inching towards their first senior exit of the summer, as Kieran Trippier is said to be nearing an Atletico Madrid medical.

Football London claim that the deal could be worth something in the region of £25m.

This would leave Spurs with just Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters as the only senior right-backs at the club, with Juan Foyth as a potential option next season too.

However, Aurier was included on an eight-man list of players Spurs may look to sell recently, along with Trippier (Daily Mail).

Spurs may, therefore, look outside the club for a new right-sided full-back for the 2018/19 season, with Napoli defender, Elseid Hysaj one touted option.

Football journalist, Nicolo Schira, from Gazzetta dello Sport, claims that Atletico lumped for Tripps after they failed to land Hysaj.

However, he goes on to say that Tottenham may now have a look at the Napoli right-back themselves, with Juventus also said to be interested.
