Tottenham Hotspur were only treated to a brief cameo of what Tanguy Ndombele can offer them as the new signing scored one and assisted one in his first two Premier League matches.
The Frenchman scored the vital second-half equaliser against Aston Villa on the opening day of the season for Spurs, a game that the team would eventually win 3-1.
Ndombele then assisted Erik Lamela’s goal against Man City, a game in which Spurs somehow pulled off a 2-2 draw.
Unfortunately, Ndombele was unable to play in the shock loss to Newcastle United through injury, a game in which Spurs could have used his direct style.
It also does not look hopeful that the midfielder will feature at all against Arsenal this weekend in the North London Derby, with Alasdair Gold issuing an update (Football London).
He claims that Ndombele did not train at the start of this week and he appeared to be limping during a Junior Spurs event on Tuesday.
He does hint that Poch could make a late call on his fitness, but it doesn’t seem hopeful.
