Former Arsenal striker mocks the concept of Spurs winning trophies

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen’s future was subject to a lot of speculation all through the summer with the Dane making no secret of his desire to seek a new challenge (Ekstra Bladet).

With the midfielder entering the final year of his contract with the club, there were fears among fans that the club might let him leave this summer.

However, much to Tottenham’s relief, a move failed to materialise before the September 2nd deadline meaning that the former Ajax man will now stay put at least until January.

Former Spurs midfielder and interim manager Tim Sherwood told Sky Sports on Wednesday that Eriksen was better of staying with the Lilywhites as he will be hard-pressed to find a club where he will have a greater chance of winning silverware.

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has now taken to social media to mock Sherwood’s comments.

It is funny how Arsenal fans keep going on about the lack of trophies at Spurs when all they have won recently are a few FA cups. Tottenham, on the other hand, were one step away from winning the biggest club competition in world football last season.
