Former chairman reveals why Ange Postecoglou is not disliked by opposition supporters

After the controversial managerial spells of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur look to have struck gold with the appointment of Ange Postecoglou.

Not only has the Australian re-energised the club’s supporters with his front foot, high pressing attacking style of football, but also looks like he’s genuinely proud to be the Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Mourinho and Conte were certainly outspoken during their time in charge in North London with one player’s agent claiming it was if Conte felt he was doing the squad a favour by being in charge (Sky Sports).

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has claimed that Ange Postecoglou is the only Premier League manager who is not disliked by neutral supporters.

Ange Postecoglou has been a refreshing addition to the Premier League

During his appearance on the White & Jordan show on talkSPORT, he said: “The only one who creates a feeling of general well-being most of the time is probably Postecoglou right now,”

“But that’s because Spurs are playing a brand of football and not winning anything so everyone’s quite happy with that. When you start challenging…”

Former Spurs midfielder Danny Murphy who was part of the show’s panel then asked: “You mean the way he conducts himself?”

“Yeah, that’s my point,” Jordan added. “He doesn’t create a reaction in neutral fans or fans of the opposition.”

The Tottenham board should be thanking their lucky stars with how they were able to land Ange Postecoglou given how he has brought the players and fans back together following the toxicity which was clear to see at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season.

As for how Ange carries himself, Mikel Arteta could certainly learn a thing or two from the Australian.
