Former Chelsea scout reveals he has joined Tottenham’s senior department

Former Chelsea scout Tika Musonda has revealed via LinkedIn that he has joined Tottenham’s senior scouting department.

Musonda, a former midfielder, has spent the best part of a year with the Blues as a scout following his retirement from football at the age of 26.

In a post on his LinkedIn profile, he said: “I’m delighted to announce that I am joining Tottenham Hotspur’s senior scouting department.

“I’m honoured, grateful, and excited to get to work and learn in this elite organisation. Nick, Brian and Steve have all made a great impression and look forward to working with the team.”

Musonda initially joined Chelsea alongside his brothers Charly and Lamisha in the summer of 2012. His stint in West London was hampered by a series of major knee injuries, which led to his eventual release in 2017.

Musonda joined Spanish side Llagostera shortly after before moving onto Palamos a season later. After being released by Palamos, Musonda called time on his playing days in November 2020 before linking back up with Chelsea to pursue a career in scouting.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs appear to be reworking their scouting department after it was hinted that it may happen, and this is an interesting addition. Musonda is only 28-years-old and hasn’t been in this field for very long, so it will be good to see what comes of this down the line.
