England fell to their third straight defeat last night against Spain, the first time they have done so in 30 years.
After Rashford put the Three Lions 1-0 early in the game, Spain came from behind to win 2-1, despite a controversially disallowed England goal in the dying minutes.
Dele Alli, along with his Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Kieran Trippier, started the game at Wembley, completing 90 minutes.
Eric Dier and Danny Rose were used as substitutes.
Former England international Stan Collymore has stated that Dele Alli needs to take more responsibility.
Back in October 2017, Collymore actually called for Southgate to make Alli the new England captain, an honour that was later given to Harry Kane.
While he admits that Alli has boundless ability, Collymore thinks that he often plays the ‘nice kid’ rather than stepping up and being ‘the man’.
Convinced Rashford can be an out and out striker but needs to be brave enough to go with it,at United or elsewhere, and absolutely convinced Alli could be a dominant midfield force but is personally too immature (as opposed to a Gerrard/Lamp/Keane who accepted the responsibility)

Indeed I did. Alli is a lovely kid, but hams up playing “the nice kid”.
His ability is boundless and I believe in his ability to be the best in the world on his position.
Not convinced he believes it so continues to “be the kid”, instead of the man, like Gerrard or Keane. Men. https://t.co/Mqv5er7kAH

Which is why I’ll keep believing in him! It’s all down to him!
Technique, physique, football intelligence are all there.
For me though he needs to leave the kid behind and be the man.
All in his hands. https://t.co/Qoz9irQnzU

Does Alli need to be more of a ‘man’? Is he future captain material? Have your say!
