Former midfielder explains why now is a key time in Pochettino’s relationship with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have exceeded expectations with their performances so far this season as they remain in contention in all four competitions despite the doom and gloom surrounding the club early in the season owing to their failure to bring any players in.

Tottneham manager Mauricio Pochettino who has been linked with the Manchester United job has recently come and mentioned that he would like to stay at Spurs for the long haul but that the club needed to change the way they were operating.

Former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas has now insisted that we are now entering a crucial phase in Pochettino’s relationship with the club and that Daniel Levy needs to show ambition in the transfer market in order to show the Argentinian that the club is ready to back in.

Speaking on BBC 5 Live’s Sport Radio show, Jenas insisted that Tottenham needed to fast forward the singings they had earmarked for next summer by bringing those players in this month.
