Former-NFL star labels new Spurs stadium as ‘incredible’

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been extremely patient in their quests for a new stadium this season, and the wait is still ongoing.

Supporters were originally promised a September 15 opening against Liverpool in the Premier League, a fantastic event to kick off the season, and the next hundred plus years in the ground.

However, fast forward to the end of January, and Tottenham fans are sill waiting for that magical day.

September. Before Christmas. Before the end of 2018. January 2019. Now March 2019. The rumoured expected opening date moves forward every time we inch towards the opening.

However, despite the delays, the stadium is looking absolutely amazing, both externally and internally.

Fans will hopefully be able to enjoy the fantastic building this season, along with the hi-tech features such as the goal line bar with self-poring pints.

Ex-NFL star Osi Umenyiora and BBC Sport’s Mark Chapman both labelled the stadium as ‘incredible’ on The NFL Show this week, as two NFL games are set to be played at the ground this year.

Umenyiora said (Football London): “It’s an incredible stadium, by the way,” he said. “I have seen it. It’s incredible. Incredible.”

Chapman added: “”It is amazing. It just needs to open. But it is an amazing stadium.”
