Dominic Solanke has made a decent start to life at Spurs, but one of his former teammates says he thinks the striker can get even better in the future.

A solid start for Solanke
With a £65m price tag around his neck this summer, it’s safe to say Dominic Solanke arrived at Spurs with a fair degree of pressure on his shoulders.
After a goalless debut and a short stint on the sidelines with an ankle injury, the forward has found his feet and has led the line for Ange Postecoglou‘s team very effectively of late.
Solanke scored three goals in three games recently, showcasing his ability to be in the right place at the right time in the box to capitalise on the amount of chances Tottenham create.

It is hoped that the 27-year-old can now push on and become the kind of striker Spurs can rely on for regular goals, and who can take them to the next level under Postecoglou’s guidance.

Solanke can get better
Shane Long, a former teammate of Solanke’s from his time at Bournemouth, certainly thinks the Spurs man can keep improving once he finds his rhythm, and has congratulated the striker on his early season form so far.
He told Sky Sports: “I like Dominic Solanke. I know he’s not really hit the ground running fully at Tottenham, but I’ve played with him at Bournemouth and I know how good he is, how good a goalscorer he is.”
High hopes for Solanke
The early signs are really promising for Solanke and his potential to flourish at Spurs. His work rate and penchant for pressing high are exactly what Postecoglou wanted and needed, and he should be able to feed on so many chances this season.
