Former striker, Tony Cascarino has revealed that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur FC will be sold before their North London rivals, Arsenal.

This comes after news that Daniel Ek is set to make a fresh bid to try and purchase Arsenal from Stan Kroenke after his initial efforts were turned down.

The Spotify owner has apparently been an Arsenal fan for most of his life and the man himself even announced on Twitter that he would be open to buying the club if Kroenke would sell up.

However, Cascarino has argued that Tottenham will be sold before Arsenal because he thinks something is going on upstairs at the North London club.

The former Republic of Ireland man said that something at Spurs ‘just stinks’ at the moment, adding that Joe Lewis could be moving towards a bigger objective of selling up.

A report from Football Insider earlier this year claimed that Joe Lewis was indeed lining up a sale and a 50% buyer had been found before the deal fell through.

Cascarino said on TalkSPORT (10/06/21 – 8:05 am onwards): “I really believe, and I have said this before, Arsenal are up for sale. I bet my bottom dollar, Tottenham gets sold before Arsenal.

“I really think that would happen. The club just stinks. Upstairs, there is a lot going on and I think there’s a bigger objective for Joe Lewis at the football club.

“And it could be selling that football club.”
