Former Hull City midfielder, David Meyler has hit out at those who have been poking fun at the way Harry Kane speaks on social media.
The striker, whose record has been up there with the best in the world for the last six years, is often the target of mockery from opposition fans on social media.
While the 27-year-old has been forced to constantly prove himself against critics who question his ability, his detractors can also get very personal.
The England captain is often made fun of for the way he speaks, with some opposition fans continuing to circulate the cringe-worthy joke about him needing subtitles to be understood.
Following the release of the first three episodes of Amazon Prime’s All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, in which the striker is seen delivering several pre-match talks, the joke predictably got peddled out again on Twitter.
Amazon Prime automatically turns on English subtitles when Harry Kane starts speaking.
Good job.

Before you watch “All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur make” sure to turn on subtitles, because you’ll have no clue what Harry Kane is saying

15 mins into the first episode of “All Or Nothing: Tottenham” and my first take is that South Korea’s Captain Son Heung-min speaks better English than Englands Captain Harry Kane #AllorNothingSpurs #Spurs

Meyler came to the Tottenham striker’s defence on social media and called out those who were continuing to make fun of the way he speaks.
Some people on here making fun of the way Harry Kane speaks, I bet you wish you could kick a ball like him!

Spurs Web Opinion
It is clear that the reason some fans are resorting to making fun of Kane’s speech defect is that the Tottenham striker is nearly flawless as a footballer and as a person.
