Former Spur sends message of support to players ahead of Man Utd test

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard has taken to Twitter to post a message of support to Mauricio Pochettino’s players.

Spurs take on a resurgent Manchester United at Wembley in the Premier League this afternoon looking to close the gap on Liverpool at the top of the table back to six points.

Hazard has pinpointed the fact that Spurs need to apply pressure to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side by playing a high pressing game to limit the time on the ball which United have.

Manchester United have lost their last three away Premier League matches against Spurs – they had lost just three of their first 23 against them in the competition between 1992 and 2014 (W12 D8) which shows the turnaround in fortunes since Pochettino has taken over.

A victory for Spurs would also put them ten points ahead of North London rivals Arsenal, following their 1-0 defeat to West Ham United.

Here’s what Hazard had to say ahead of the game.
