Former Spur tells Carragher that United should go for Liverpool boss Klopp

Former Tottenham defender Graham Roberts has hit back at Jamie Carragher’s suggestion that Pochettino should leave Spurs for old Trafford, by asking the former Liverpool defender why Manchester United can’t go for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp instead.

Manchester United have appointed former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as an interim manager until the end of the season but speculation is running rife in the British press that the Manchester club have identified Pochettino as the man to take over next season.

Carragher in his column for the Telegraph had suggested that the Argentine has to take the Man Utd job if it is offered to him as the Red Devils will always be bigger than Spurs.

This suggestion clearly didn’t sit well with Spurs legend Roberts who took to Twitter to tweet out that Klopp will be perfect for Manchester United. Here’s how Roberts reacted to Carragher’s comments on Twitter:

Spurs fans will absolutely love Robert’s tweet as Carragher’s comments were certainly perceived as being disrespectful to the club who are currently 13 points clear of Manchester United in the table.
