Former Spurs boss points out their one weakness

Tottenham Hotspur have been impressive results wise this season, if not always at top form in games.

They have made a record start to a Premier League season with 24 points from 11 games and currently sit in top four.

They are also still fighting on four fronts for silverware after two late Harry Kane goals gave them a slim lifeline in the Champions League on Tuesday.

However, Spurs went behind in the must win fixture after just a minute on the clock as PSV swung in an early corner.

This marks the umpteenth time Tottenham have conceded from a set piece this season, a frailty that simply wasn’t there last campaign.

This may prove to be especially damaging against the smaller clubs who will target set pieces as a good way to hurt this Pochettino side.

Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp highlighted the weakness in the post match commentary on Tottenham’s Tuesday night win.

FootballLondon report he said: “The only thing that might worry them is that they have conceded again from a set play. They did that earlier in the season at Watford. They’re not a big team.

“That’s where teams will look to expose this Tottenham team.

“I think it’s not some reason that you can work on, it’s to be focused and try from the beginning, be aggressive, not concede this type of action like a corner in the first action.”
