Former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar mocks Arsenal and Piers Morgan after FA Cup exit

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has taken to Twitter to aim a dig at Piers Morgan after Arsenal crashed out of the FA Cup yesterday evening.

Self-confessed Gunners fan, Morgan had earlier claimed on the same social media platform that Arsenal who were wearing all-white kits for their tie at Nottingham Forest did not have to attempt to play as badly as Tottenham.

Arsenal saw any hopes of a fifteenth success in the FA Cup ended at the third round stage after Lewis Grabban’s goal seven minutes from time secured Forest the upset.

Tottenham had earlier found themselves also on the verge of a banana skin when League One Morecambe led their Premier League opponents until the 74th encounter of the fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before late goals from Harry Winks, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane saved their blushes.

Sugar sarcastically suggested that Arsenal had engineered their own exit from the competition in order to focus on a Premier League relegation battle.

Tottenham’s performance against Morecambe was concerning with many of those given a chance by Antonio Conte once again showing that they are nowhere near his starting eleven.

Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli certainly need to be moved on for the sake of their own careers and to allow Conte to begin his rebuild.
