Tottenham Hotspur have been making all the back pages this week, but not in the ways they would have hoped.
Despite beating Arsenal 2-0 in the League cup quarter-final, qualifying for the Champions League knockouts, and sitting third in the League, all the stories have been about a Spurs exit.
Since Jose Mourinho’s sacking this week, the talk has all revolved around one man, Mauricio Pochettino, and whether we will leave Tottenham for Manchester United (Metro).
Even with the interim appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the headlines have yet to cease, and many papers seem to thing Poch is a dead cert for the United job (Telegraph).
The manager has however given no indication of this, and only signed a new five year deal in the summer.
One former Tottenham man who is sure of Pochettino’s future is Micky Hazard.
The ex-footballer tweeted out that when United appoint their new manager, it won’t be Pochettino that fans see.
You are right Darren cos the speculation will end as soon as United appoint their new manager…………….and it won’t be Poch, just trust me X
