Former Spurs midfielder expects Pochettino to leave by the end of the season

It has been a less than ideal start to the season for Tottenham as all three of their performances so far this season have left a lot to be desired.

Tottenham came in for a lot of criticism particularly after their poor performance and defeat to Newcastle United at home last weekend.

After the game, there were rumours of an internal rift between some players and Mauricio Pochettino with talkSPORT claiming that the Argentine is set to leave the club after the North London derby on Sunday.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has since dismissed the rumor and has claimed that Pochettino is excited to start a new cycle with the club.

However, former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara has refused to believe that all is well behind the scenes at the club. The Spurs academy graduate opined that Pochettino was unhappy and claimed that he expects him to leave before the end of the season.

Speaking to talkSPORT, O’Hara said, “I think he [Pochettino] could walk. I don’t think he’ll last the season.

“I think the way he’s being in his interviews and the whole situation going on behind the scenes there, I don’t think he’s happy.”

The 32-year-old admitted that he is concerned for Spurs ahead of the huge derby match this weekend.

He added, “It’s a big game for him and everyone at Tottenham. It’s the first time I’ve gone into that game in the last few seasons and thought we could potentially get hurt.

“It’s not looking good at Tottenham right now. I don’t think we look better than we did last season.”

Spurs Web Opinion

This rumour that Pochettino is unhappy with Levy seems to be extremely far fetched particularly considering that Tottenham managed to secure all of the Argentine’s main targets this summer. A win in the North London Derby will completely change the mood around the club but another loss for Spurs could mean that the speculation will continue for the time being.
