Former Spurs player gives his top two managerial choices to replace Nuno

Jamie O’Hara has named Antonio Conte as his first choice to replace Nuno Espirito Santo as Tottenham manager, but would be content with Bournemouth boss Scott Parker if the Italian could not be appointed.

Nuno, 47, was sacked as Tottenham manager on Monday morning after the club’s wretched 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday.

The Portuguese coach took charge of just 17 games in a span of five months, after signing a two-year contract in June.

Spurs now begin yet another managerial search for a replacement, and it has been touted that former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager Conte is being heavily pursued by the club’s football director Fabio Paratici.

Ex-Spurs man O’Hara believes the club should go all out for the Italian, and has labelled him as his preferred choice to take over from Nuno.

However, he stated that Bournemouth manager and former Spurs player and youth coach Parker would be his second option if Conte is unattainable, following his fast start to the Championship campaign.

Conte is the best option available right now and talks appear to be increasing throughout the day. There was a lot of alleged interest between both parties in the summer and a deal could now finally come to fruition. As for Parker, he is doing a good job himself but it remains to be seen if he would up sticks mid-season.
