Former Spurs star Mido hits out at Daniel Levy for control issues

Former Spurs striker, Mido has hit out at Daniel Levy for not giving managers any control in North London, while also adding that he never will.

Mido even claimed that Pochettino was sacked because he started to ask for more in the transfer window and compared his team to Manchester City.

The Argentine was sacked back in November 2019 and Jose Mourinho was immediately instated as the new head coach. However, The Special One only lasted 18 months in charge, receiving his marching orders in late April this year.

Spurs have now been without a permanent manager for over 50 days and, most recently, talks with Antonio Conte reportedly stalled as the Italian was asking for too much.

It was reported that Daniel Levy pulled the plug on talks as he believed Conte’s demands would put the club into financial meltdown.

However, Football Insider have revealed that Fabio Paratici will soon be announced as Tottenham’s new Director of Football and will take over transfers and contract negotiation responsibilities.

Mido said: ‘Tottenham fans should know better.

‘Daniel Levy will never bring any manager in who wants full control of the football decisions will never bring in a demanding manager!!

‘That’s why he sacked Poch when he started to ask for more players when he started to compare his team to City.’
