Former Spurs star names overseas club Kane should join – Not Bayern Munich

Former Tottenham Hotspur player David Bentley has told Bitcoin Casinos that Harry Kane should consider leaving the club if he wants to win trophies, and has highlighted Real Madrid as a possible destination for the striker.

Kane made history over the weekend when he scored the winning goal for Spurs against Manchester City, taking his tally for the club to 267 goals (Transfermarkt). The goal sees Kane surpass Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer (GOAL).

Despite achieving legendary status with Spurs, and joining the 200 club in the list of Premier League top goalscorers, too, there are some who believe Kane’s career will not be as meaningful if he doesn’t win a trophy at some point.

Kane’s current contract with Spurs runs out in the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt) and rumours persist that the 29-year-old may be targeted by both Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the summer (Sky Sports).

According to Bentley, Kane should pursue a move if he is wanting to win a trophy before he retires, but suggests the Spurs star may be happy enough with Champions League qualification.

He said: “It will boil down to his own personal goals, whether he thinks he can win things and wants to play at the highest level. He’s probably got four or five years left. If he did leave in the summer I think Real Madrid will be the best fit for Harry Kane.

“A top-four finish for Spurs will help for Harry, but he’ll also want to go into that season knowing they’ve got a chance to compete at that level in the Champions League and not just playing in it.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I really hope Tottenham Hotspur can win a trophy soon, mainly just so Kane can finally have something to shut the critics up. He will go down as one of the greatest strikers of all time, regardless of whether he has a winner’s medal in his collection or not, but it would be nice all the same.
