Pascal Chimbonda has told The Spurs Web that he expects Tottenham Hotspur to finish in fourth place in the Premier League during the 2022/23 campaign.
There is plenty of excitement surrounding Tottenham ahead of Antonio Conte’s first full season in charge of the north London club.
The Lilywhites not only had a strong end to the 2021/22 campaign but they have also surprised people by abandoning their modus operandi of selling players before buying new ones, having made six new signings already this summer.
Conte’s men may have lost their final pre-season game against Roma, but most of the new faces would have had time to become accustomed to the Italian’s methods ahead of the new campaign.
However, many of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea have also strengthened their squad this summer, meaning it will not be straightforward for Spurs to improve on their showing last season.
Chimbonda believes that Man Utd under Erik Ten Hag could be a surprise package and clinch third place next season, while he backed Tottenham to finish fourth once again.
