Former Spurs star predicts how many goals Kulusevski will score next season

Paul Robinson has backed Dejan Kulusevski to hit even greater heights in his first full season at Tottenham Hotspur than he did in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign.

Tottenham’s capture of Kulusevski in January was certainly not the most high profile signing of the January transfer window, with the Swede trying to get his career back on track after a disappointing spell in Turin.

However, the 21-year-old turned out to be one of the signings of the season, notching up 13 goal contributions in 18 Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt) and firing Antonio Conte’s men back into the Champions League.

The winger transferred his club form to the international set-up last week as he netted a brilliant solo effort to help Sweden overcome Slovenia 2-1 in their opening game of the Nations League.

Robinson asserted that he can see Kulusevski reaching a similar level of attacking output to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min next season.

Reacting to the winger striker against Slovenia, the former Spurs number one told Football Insider: “Kulusevski has got better and better in the short time he has been at Spurs already.

“It is a great bit of business when you consider the fee Spurs are paying. He is one of the bargains of the season.

“We have seen that he has an eye for goal. When you look at Son and Kane, they are consistently scoring at least 15 goals every year. I think Kulusevski can get to that level in that three.

“Spurs are going to be a real force next year. I expect Kulusevski to be even better.”

Playing alongside two world-class forwards in Kane and Son has helped Kulusevski find more space than he did at Juve and the Swede has exploited that very well. There is no reason why the 21-year-old cannot breach the 15-goal mark in the Premier League next season.
